The IAPD curriculum is a complete driver improvement program.  Students develop skills and knowledge that will enhance their on-the-job performance.  Caution and efficiency are reinforced each day of training.  Driving activities are specifically designed to be intense and real - in a safe environment and at controlled speeds.

The curriculum includes classroom instruction and hands-on driving exercises on the NIPSTA Driver Training Pad.  Success in the program is measured on a pass/fail basis, but requires student proficiency on a written exam and in a variety of driving simulations.

IAPD training is ideally suited for new drivers requiring a solid foundation in driving fundamentals and vehicle dynamics.  Experienced drivers will also benefit from the comprehensive program that combines roadway principles with practical exercises.

This 16-hour course provides students with an IAPD Certificate of Achievement that is valid for three years - and may be renewed thereafter.
