This 40-hour program is designed to fill in the gaps between the traditional fire officer programs and "life on the job". Though a series of discussions, demonstrations, scenarios and team building exercises, students will gain a better understanding of the realities of leading a fire company. HOCO students learn though interacting with other company officers as well as each other. Instructors for this program are experienced company officer and leaders in the fire service who want to share their successes and failures, in an effort to help newly hired or soon to officers become - not just better officers - but better leaders as well.
