This one-day (8-hour) Trench and Excavation Safety course is designed for workers who enter, work in, or supervise activities within trenches and excavations. The course provides comprehensive training in accordance with OSHA 1926 Subpart P, focusing on hazard recognition, soil classification, and the causes of trench-related incidents. Participants will learn the proper use of protective systems such as sloping, shoring, and shielding, as well as safe access and egress, inspections, and emergency considerations. Emphasis is placed on practical application and worker responsibilities to help prevent cave-ins and other excavation-related hazards.
