NIPSTA’s Fire Service Instructor II program is designed to exceed the requirements outlined by the Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal “OSFM” and NFPA 1041. Fire Service Instructor II provides students with the requisite knowledge and skills needed to coordinate other instructors and develop lesson plans based on fire service task analysis.
New for 2024 - a "blended" format which will allow students eight (8) course hours to work through the required textbook material beginning one week prior. The remaining thirty-two (32) course hours will be presented on campus where students will complete the remaining JPRs via task analysis, budgeting, lesson plan development, and program delivery.
